Ashburton R.A.M. Install Their New Commander

The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, was presiding at the recent installation meeting of the Ashburton lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 1038, which was held in Ivybridge. He was accompanied on this occasion by Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Worshipful Brother Christopher Elliott, the Provincial Secretary.

The Worshipful Commander, Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen, installed his successor Worshipful Brother Brian Elms in a fine manner, who then went on to appoint and invest his officers for the year.

The evening concluded with more than 40 Brethren retiring to the refectory to enjoy a superb festive board, with the fun-filled atmosphere that the brethren enjoy in this fine fraternity.
